Terracycle & ReCork Recycling

Questions about dropping off items for Terracycle and ReCork?  You’ve come to the right place!

Please note that our Terracycle programs are not here as an encouragement to continue using single-use plastic items.  While downcycling these plastic items may be better than having them end up in the landfill, it is not a sustainable solution.  We encourage you to refill your items, or if the container isn’t viable for refilling, then switch to a refill-friendly container.  Every item that we accept in our oral care program can be refilled in the shop (toothpaste, mouthwash, floss and deodorant).

WHAT CAN I BRING IN FOR TERRACYCLE DOWNCYCLING?

  • Oral Care Program - any brand of empty toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, and deodorant container, as well as toothbrushes.
  • Writing Instrument Program - any brand of pen, mechanical pencil, marker, highlighter, water color tray and glue stick (not the squeezable bottles) container.
  • Razor Program - any brand of plastic razor and blades.

WHAT CAN I BRING IN FOR RECORK RECYCLING?

Any brand of natural wine cork.  Synthetic corks are not accepted.

WHEN AND WHERE DO I DROP OFF THESE ACCEPTED ITEMS?

Please drop off during business hours and inside the shop where one of our fabulous staff members can direct you to our recycling room.

Our address is 1005 Oak Hill Road in Lafayette and we are currently open:

Monday, Wednesday & Friday 10am-4pm

Tuesday & Thursday 10am-5pm

Saturdays 10am-3pm

Closed on Sundays.

***Please do not drop off items out front of the shop***

WHAT ITEMS ARE NOT ACCEPTED?

Anything other than what was listed explicitly above is not accepted.  We do not have a program for shampoo, conditioner, lotion, sunscreen or any other body/home care container.  Please do not bring these in and please do not leave any bagged up outside of our shop.  Thank you kindly!
